The computer technician (ITS Field Services Technician) installs new computer applications, troubleshoots network connectivity, repairs complicated breakdowns and assists analysts in the development and implementation of new computer systems within the school.
Dietitians travel from school to school visiting classrooms and cafeterias to talk to students about eating nutritious foods and being healthy. The EMSB in-class programs aim to teach students how to make healthy food choices and instill the values of eating nutritious foods and living a healthy lifestyle.
The occupational therapist works with parents and/or caregivers and others to assess if a student has difficulties with practical and social skills and recommends appropriate strategies in order to maximise the student's potential when carrying out activities of daily living.
The spiritual community animator develops and implements programs or activities of a community, humanitarian, spiritual and religious nature. He or She also provides information and guidance to staff, parents, and students with respect to religious beliefs and needs in terms of spiritual life and community involvement.
The school nurse is available to provide consultation, screening, prevention, vaccinations, referral and health/vaccination records for students.
A social worker is assigned to the school on a part-time basis. The role of the social worker is particularly important in the area of family intervention or counselling.
